Active between May 27th and June 24th, the anonymous survey is aimed at residents, workers, students and visitors to New Westminster, which will assist the department craft its new strategic plan.

The new strategic plan will outline the future mission and vision of the NWPD as well as provide a framework for NWPD engagement with the community for 2020 and beyond. Public input is vital in this process, and includes not only the community survey, but more in depth community consultation sessions in the fall.

“Our main focus is providing a safe community for residents,” stated Acting Chief Constable Dave Jansen. “We want to hear from you about what that means to you. What are your priorities? Tell us what we should be focusing on in order to provide quality police services to you and your family. The survey is easy to access and can be completed in just a few minutes.”

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is now available online at: www.nwpolice.org/survey.

Details on the community consultation sessions will be released in the near future. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Sergeant Jeff Scott at 604-529-2423.
