Summer Camps at the FRDC – Space is limited; register now!

July 4th – August 26th

Children aged 6-11 are invited to join us for a summer of fun and learning on the Fraser River! Summer camps run Monday to Friday from July 4th to August 26th. Camps involve a range of activities including science experiments, games, outdoor play, and more!

Pre-registration is required and COVID safety protocols are in place.

  1. Summer Discovery Days – Celebrating Canadian Wildlife! Friday, July 1st – Sunday, July 3rd

This Canada Day weekend, July 1st – 3rd, stop by the Fraser River Discovery Centre and get introduced to some of the amazing wildlife that call the Fraser watershed home! Learn about local ecology, engage with animal artifacts, and create your own puppet show!

Faces of the Fraser – Aquatic Invaders with the Invasive Species Council of BC

Tuesday, July 5th, 7:00pm – 8:30pm

This online presentation features Ruby Banwait, Senior Lead of Community Partnerships with the Invasive Species Council of BC. Ruby will talk about some of the aquatic invasive species impacting ecosystems along BC’s waterways and suggest ways to support native biodiversity! Pre-registration is required.

Join Ruby Banwait, Senior Lead of Community Partnerships with the Invasive Species Council of BC, will give an online presentation on some of the aquatic invasive species impacting waterways such as the Fraser River, and discuss what we can do to help protect our rivers, streams, and tributaries. This low-cost virtual event takes place online, via Zoom, and pre-registration is required.
